Lead time of garments

For the whole prcess from developing to delivery, how many time will we spend  based on both manufacturer and client, such as sourcing fabric materials and accessaries/making samples/start to prodcution, and we need comments from client for each stage. We need comments of fabric materials/accessaries/design/workmanship.........etc.

We will begin to source materials for the ideas/artwork clients send to us. There is not many change if clients ask all of details matching to their requirements, we just follow what was in guideline, unless there are something we can't make or meet requirements. And we will provide our suggestion or ideas to our clients if they need different ideas, because we could tell them what is workable and not.

Then we begin to make sample after client confirm materials and workmanship. It needs around 7~15 days to make proto sampels, which depends on the requirements of artwork, such as need to open a new mould or not, if most of materials are available or not.....ect.

We will start to make PPS after receiving comments of proto samples, all of materials must be correct for PPS. So it needs around 15~30day, depends on if both manufacturer and client had checked and confirmed materials in advance.  Because we only need to check measurements and workmanship of proto samples, which will not cost much time to make PPS.

All of fabric materials will be cutted and on line after we get comments of PPS. We will cut fabric materials based on the comments of measurements, then take pieces of fabric to do print/embroider....etc. Finally, all of materials will be on line step by step, for jackets, normally needs around 30 days on line if the quantity is 1000pcs~8000pcs each style.

We need to book ship in advance before inspection. Because inspection report shows if goods is good or not. For inspection, there are two way to do it. Sometime client ask third part inspector to inspect goods, sometime just let our own QC to inspect goods, it depends on.

Goods should be loaded in time because if they will be postponed one week if failed to load in time, we will send out shipping docu to clients as i got them, such as invoice/packing list/B.L. It is very important to send our client telex release as i receive balance payment, you know, the payment for us is FOB.
