Logistics: which transpotation will be more cost-effective?
For the cost, a small package ship to oversea, which transpotation will be more cheaper,by sea or by express?
Take a example, if you want to delivery a box like as below, the measurements is: 20mm*20mm*33mm, and the weight is about 5kg, normally the express charge from Xiamen China to Alytus Lithuania, the cost is about 120usd. But it will cost about 200usd if you ship it by sea. Because you need to pay some fees like port fee, fee of delivery to part, loading fee, document fee.......
So cost-effective is the most important thing.
Our logistics will calculate all of cost before shipping goods to our clients. No matter we pay the delivery cost or our clients'. And another important thing our logistics pay attention on is how many times transpotation will take, for most clients, the faster the better! So we need to combine both essential together to make a decision.
So not only we need to compare with different transpotations but also need to compare with different companies in same transpotation.
There are three transpotation for bulk goods delivering: by sea, by train, by air.
Most goods were shipped by sea because of the cost, and some goods by air because consignee need godds urgently. The middle way is by train, it is not faster than by air but do fast than by sea, and the cost are amid between by ship and by air.
Anytime, don't forget to pay custom duty before you receive goods.
